EASYJOBHUNT USER PRIVACY RIGHTS
1. Introduction to User Privacy Rights
EasyJobHunt (“EasyJobHunt,” “we,” “our,” or “the Company”) is committed to respecting and protecting the privacy rights of all individuals who interact with our Platform, including job seekers, employers, recruiters, and visitors (collectively “users” or “you”).
"Join over 50,000 successful job seekers who get exclusive career opportunities first. Limited-time offer: Subscribe today and receive our 'Interview Success Blueprint' free!"
This Privacy Rights document, developed under the guidance of specialized privacy counsel, outlines the specific rights you possess regarding your personal information when using the EasyJobHunt website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). These rights exist independently of, but in conjunction with, the practices described in our comprehensive Privacy Policy. EasyJobHunt acknowledges that privacy laws and regulations vary significantly across jurisdictions, creating a complex landscape of privacy rights that differ depending on your location, the nature of your relationship with our Platform, and the specific processing activities involved.
As an organization committed to privacy best practices, we have designed our Platform and internal procedures to accommodate the exercise of these rights in a manner that balances legal compliance with operational efficiency. This document serves as a detailed explanation of the privacy rights available to you and the mechanisms through which you may exercise them. It should be understood that while we strive to honor all legitimate requests, certain rights may be subject to limitations or exceptions as provided by applicable law, particularly when fulfilling a request would interfere with legal obligations, contradict compelling legitimate business interests, or compromise the privacy rights of other individuals.
As privacy regulations continue to evolve globally, EasyJobHunt regularly reviews and updates our privacy practices to ensure ongoing compliance with emerging standards and to incorporate privacy-enhancing technologies and processes that facilitate the exercise of your rights. We encourage you to review this document carefully and to contact our Privacy Team at privacy@easyjobhunt.com with any questions or concerns regarding your privacy rights when using our Platform.
2. Right to Transparency and Notice
All users of the EasyJobHunt Platform have the fundamental right to clear, accessible information about our data collection and processing activities. This right to transparency forms the cornerstone of informed privacy decision-making and encompasses several important elements that EasyJobHunt is committed to providing. Under this right, you are entitled to receive notice about the categories of personal information we collect, the purposes for which this information will be used, and the legal bases that justify our processing activities.
EasyJobHunt fulfills this obligation through our comprehensive Privacy Policy, which is written in clear, plain language designed to be understandable to the average user while still providing the technical specificity required by applicable regulations. The Privacy Policy is prominently accessible from every page of our website through a clearly labeled link in the footer, ensuring that this crucial information is never more than one click away regardless of how you navigate our Platform.
Beyond merely providing our Privacy Policy, EasyJobHunt implements contextual privacy notices at key data collection points throughout the user experience, ensuring that you receive relevant privacy information at the precise moment when you are making decisions about sharing your data. For example, when you create an account, upload a resume, or activate optional features that involve additional data processing, you will receive specific information about the data being collected and how it will be used in that particular context.
These just-in-time notices supplement our comprehensive Privacy Policy without requiring you to review the entire document for each interaction. We are committed to providing transparent information about any changes to our data practices. When we update our Privacy Policy or this Privacy Rights document in ways that materially affect our data processing activities, we provide clear notice through appropriate channels, which may include email notifications, platform announcements, or conspicuous notices on our website.
Such notifications include a summary of key changes and their potential impact on your privacy. EasyJobHunt also maintains version histories of our privacy documentation, allowing you to review how our practices have evolved over time. Additionally, you have the right to request supplemental information about specific processing activities beyond what is provided in our standard notices. Such requests can be submitted to our Privacy Team, who will respond with additional details about particular data processing operations to the extent such disclosures do not compromise proprietary information, trade secrets, or the privacy of other users.
Through these comprehensive transparency measures, EasyJobHunt ensures that you have the information necessary to understand how your personal information is collected, used, and protected, empowering you to make informed decisions about your privacy when using our Platform.
3. Right to Access Your Personal Information
All users of the EasyJobHunt Platform possess the right to access the personal information we have collected about them, subject to verification of identity and certain limitations established by applicable law. This fundamental right enables you to understand precisely what information we maintain about you and how that information has been used and shared.
When exercising your right to access, you may request confirmation of whether EasyJobHunt processes your personal information and, if so, receive a comprehensive report containing the specific pieces of personal information we have collected. This report typically includes all categories of personal information described in our Privacy Policy that we have actually collected about you, rather than merely theoretical categories of data we might collect from users generally.
The access report provided by EasyJobHunt will contain your personal information in a structured, commonly used, and readily understandable format. Depending on the scope of your request and the technical feasibility, this may be delivered in various formats, including PDF, structured JSON, CSV, or other appropriate electronic formats designed to be both human-readable and machine-readable where relevant.
For users in jurisdictions with comprehensive privacy regulations, such as those covered by the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), your access report will typically include additional contextual information beyond the raw data itself. This supplemental information includes: the categories of sources from which we collected your personal information; the specific business or commercial purposes for which each category of personal information was collected, used, or disclosed; the categories of third parties with whom we have shared your personal information; and the retention periods or criteria applied to different categories of your personal information.
In certain jurisdictions, you also have the right to request information about any automated decision-making processes that significantly affect you, including the logic involved in such decisions and their potential consequences. EasyJobHunt implements proportionate and legally compliant verification procedures to ensure that access requests are fulfilled only for legitimate users seeking their own information, thereby protecting against unauthorized access to personal information. These verification requirements are designed to be reasonable in light of the sensitivity of the information requested, utilizing methods that balance security with accessibility.
While we strive to provide complete access to your personal information, certain narrow legal exemptions may limit this right in specific circumstances. These limitations may apply when providing access would adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others, reveal proprietary business information, interfere with the execution or enforcement of the law, or breach legal professional privilege or statutory obligations. In such cases, we will explain the reason for denying any portion of your access request and provide as much information as possible without triggering the applicable exemption.
EasyJobHunt does not charge a fee for processing standard access requests. However, in jurisdictions where permitted by law, we reserve the right to assess a reasonable fee or decline to act on requests that are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive in nature. Such determinations are made on a case-by-case basis with appropriate documentation of the decision-making process.
4. Right to Correction and Rectification
Users of the EasyJobHunt Platform have the right to request correction or rectification of their personal information when such information is inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. This right is fundamental to maintaining data quality and ensuring that decisions affecting you—whether made by our systems, potential employers, or other users—are based on accurate and current information. When you identify inaccuracies in the personal information we maintain about you, you may submit a correction request specifying the information that requires amendment and providing documentation or explanation supporting the requested changes where appropriate.
EasyJobHunt will process legitimate correction requests without undue delay, generally within 30 calendar days, though this timeframe may be extended by an additional period when necessary due to the complexity of the request or the number of requests being processed simultaneously. For routine updates to profile information such as contact details, employment history, educational background, or professional qualifications, EasyJobHunt provides self-service tools within the user account interface that allow for immediate corrections without requiring formal requests. We encourage users to regularly review and update their profile information through these tools to ensure continued accuracy, especially for job seekers whose career information evolves over time.
When rectification requires changes to information that cannot be modified through self-service options, such as data maintained in backend systems or archived records, you may submit a formal correction request through our Privacy Rights portal or by contacting our Privacy Team directly. Upon receiving such a request, we will take reasonable steps to verify the accuracy of the proposed correction, which may include requesting supporting documentation when appropriate and proportionate to the nature of the information being corrected.
For complex correction requests involving multiple data points or information shared with third parties, EasyJobHunt will implement a systematic approach to ensure that all instances of the inaccurate information are appropriately updated. When we have shared inaccurate information with third parties for business purposes, we will, to the extent feasible, inform those recipients about the correction to enable them to update their records accordingly. In circumstances where EasyJobHunt disagrees with a correction request—for instance, when we have reasonable grounds to believe the current information is accurate or when the requested change would violate our Terms of Service or platform integrity—we will clearly explain the reasons for declining the request.
In such cases, you maintain the right to submit a brief statement of disagreement, which we will associate with the disputed information in our records. For users in jurisdictions covered by comprehensive privacy regulations such as the GDPR, additional protections apply, including the right to request restriction of processing while a disputed correction is being evaluated. EasyJobHunt maintains detailed records of all correction requests and outcomes to ensure accountability and demonstrate compliance with applicable regulations.
These records are maintained securely and separate from the personal information itself to provide an independent audit trail of data quality management activities.
5. Right to Deletion and Erasure
All users of the EasyJobHunt Platform possess the right to request deletion of their personal information, commonly referred to as the “right to erasure” or “right to be forgotten” in certain jurisdictions. This fundamental right enables you to request the removal of your personal information from our active systems when its continued processing is no longer necessary or legally justified.
EasyJobHunt acknowledges the importance of this right and has established comprehensive procedures to honor deletion requests in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, while balancing legitimate business needs and legal obligations that may necessitate certain exceptions. When you submit a deletion request, EasyJobHunt will permanently remove your personal information from our active databases, applications, and systems where technically feasible, unless retention is required or permitted under applicable law.
Depending on your jurisdiction and the specific circumstances, this deletion right may apply to information you directly provided to us, information we collected about you from third parties, and information generated through your interactions with our Platform.
The deletion process encompasses several technical procedures designed to ensure thorough and permanent removal of your information, including: purging your personal data from our active production databases; removing your account and associated content from user-facing interfaces and search results; deleting or de-identifying your personal information in data backups according to our regular backup rotation schedule (typically within 90 days); ensuring that cached copies of your data are cleared from application and content delivery networks; and issuing deletion requests to third-party service providers who have received your data through our Platform, where feasible.
While we strive to honor all legitimate deletion requests, certain legal exemptions may limit this right in specific circumstances. These exemptions, which vary by jurisdiction, may include retention necessary to: complete transactions or services you requested; comply with legal obligations, such as tax regulations, employment laws, or litigation holds; protect vital interests or public safety; establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; archive for purposes of public interest, scientific research, or historical research; or maintain certain minimal information necessary to prevent fraud or ensure platform integrity, such as records of prior fraudulent activity or account abuse.
When such exemptions apply, EasyJobHunt will retain only the specific information necessary for the exempt purpose and maintain appropriate safeguards against unauthorized use for other purposes. If we decline to delete certain information based on an exemption, we will clearly explain the reasons for the partial fulfillment of your request and identify the specific exemption being applied.
For job seekers, it is important to understand that deletion of your EasyJobHunt account and personal information from our systems does not automatically extend to copies of application materials that have already been submitted to employers through our Platform. Once an employer has received your application materials, they establish their own relationship with you as a data controller and maintain those records according to their own privacy policies and retention schedules. However, upon request, we can provide contact information for employers who have received your applications to facilitate your submission of separate deletion requests directly to them.
EasyJobHunt implements a verification process proportionate to the sensitivity of the data involved to ensure that deletion requests are submitted by the actual data subject or an authorized representative. This verification process is designed to prevent unauthorized deletions while still being reasonably accessible to legitimate users seeking to exercise their rights.
6. Right to Object to Processing
Users of the EasyJobHunt Platform have the right to object to certain types of processing of their personal information under specific circumstances, particularly when such processing is based on legitimate interests, is conducted for direct marketing purposes, or involves automated decision-making with significant effects. This important right allows you to contest particular data uses when they conflict with your personal situation or preferences, providing a crucial check against overreaching data processing activities.
When you exercise your right to object, EasyJobHunt will carefully evaluate your objection against the compelling legitimate grounds for the processing, including legal obligations, contractual requirements, or substantial business interests that may override your objection. This evaluation is conducted on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the specific circumstances you have identified, the nature of the processing activity, and the potential impact on your rights and freedoms. For processing based on legitimate interests, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. Upon receiving such an objection, EasyJobHunt will cease the processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims. The burden of proof rests with EasyJobHunt to demonstrate these overriding legitimate interests, ensuring that your objection receives proper consideration.
For direct marketing activities, including profiling related to such marketing, you have an absolute right to object at any time without providing any justification. Upon receiving an objection to direct marketing, EasyJobHunt will promptly cease using your personal information for marketing purposes, typically implementing the change within 10 business days, though you may continue to receive communications that were already in process at the time of your objection. Your objection to direct marketing will be recorded in our systems to ensure that your preferences are respected for future campaigns.
For processing involving automated decision-making, including profiling that produces legal effects or similarly significant impacts (such as automated résumé screening or candidate ranking algorithms), you have the right to object to being subject to such processing and to request human intervention, to express your point of view, or to contest a decision resulting from such processing. EasyJobHunt takes such objections seriously and provides alternative means for your information to be considered without solely automated processing when such objections are received.
To facilitate the exercise of this important right, EasyJobHunt provides multiple channels for submitting objections, including user preference controls within account settings, opt-out links in communications, and formal objection submissions through our Privacy Rights portal. We strive to make these mechanisms readily accessible, user-friendly, and clearly explained within the user interface. Upon receiving an objection, EasyJobHunt will acknowledge receipt within 5 business days and provide a substantive response within 30 calendar days.
This response will clearly explain our determination regarding your objection, the reasoning behind this determination, and any changes implemented as a result. In cases where we decline to fully implement your objection based on overriding legitimate grounds, we will provide a detailed explanation of the specific interests, obligations, or other factors that necessitate the continued processing, along with information about your right to submit a complaint to the relevant supervisory authority.
7. Right to Restrict Processing
Users of the EasyJobHunt Platform have the right to request temporary restriction of the processing of their personal information under certain defined circumstances. When processing is restricted, EasyJobHunt may continue to store your personal information but is prohibited from further processing it until the restriction is lifted. This important right provides you with an alternative to complete deletion when you wish to temporarily limit the use of your data while addressing specific concerns about its accuracy, lawfulness, or ongoing necessity.
You may exercise your right to restriction when any of the following circumstances apply: you contest the accuracy of your personal information, in which case processing will be restricted for the period necessary to verify the accuracy of the data; you believe the processing is unlawful and you oppose erasure, requesting restriction of use instead; EasyJobHunt no longer needs the personal information for the original processing purposes, but you require it for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims; or you have objected to processing pending verification of whether EasyJobHunt’s legitimate grounds override your interests, rights, and freedoms. When processing is restricted based on your request, EasyJobHunt implements technical and organizational measures to ensure compliance with the restriction.
These measures typically include: flagging the restricted data in our database systems to prevent further processing; removing the restricted information from automated processing systems, including search functionality and recommendation algorithms; temporarily suspending the inclusion of your information in data analytics, marketing activities, or other secondary uses; storing a secure record of the restriction request and its basis to ensure appropriate handling throughout the restriction period; and implementing access controls that limit personnel access to the restricted data to only those individuals necessary to implement the restriction or address the underlying concern.
During the restriction period, EasyJobHunt will continue to secure and maintain your personal information but will process it only: with your explicit consent; for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims; for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person; or for reasons of important public interest as defined by applicable law. EasyJobHunt will provide you with notice before lifting a processing restriction, explaining the resolution of the issue that necessitated the restriction and providing you with reasonable time to respond before resuming normal processing activities. This ensures you have an opportunity to contest the lifting of the restriction if you believe the underlying concern has not been adequately addressed.
To exercise your right to restriction, you may submit a request through our Privacy Rights portal, by emailing our Privacy Team, or by using other contact methods specified in our Privacy Policy. Upon receiving a restriction request, we will acknowledge receipt within 5 business days and implement the restriction within 15 calendar days for straightforward requests, though complex requests involving multiple systems or third-party processors may require additional time. If we determine that we cannot implement a requested restriction, we will provide a detailed explanation of the reasons for this determination, information about alternative measures that could address your concerns, and details regarding your right to submit a complaint to the relevant supervisory authority.
Throughout the restriction period, EasyJobHunt maintains detailed records documenting the nature of the restriction, its implementation across relevant systems, and the resolution process. These records are maintained securely and separate from the personal information itself to provide an independent audit trail of compliance with restriction obligations.
8. Right to Data Portability
Users of the EasyJobHunt Platform possess the right to data portability, which entitles you to receive a copy of your personal information in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and, where technically feasible, to have that information transmitted directly to another service provider. This important right enhances your control over your personal information by facilitating the movement of data between different service providers, reducing platform lock-in, and promoting user autonomy in the digital ecosystem.
The right to data portability applies to personal information that you have directly provided to EasyJobHunt, including information consciously and actively submitted (such as profile data, resumes, and application materials) as well as data generated through your activities and observations (such as search history and usage data). This right applies when the processing is based on your consent or on a contract to which you are a party, and when the processing is carried out by automated means.
It does not extend to information that EasyJobHunt has derived, calculated, or inferred from the data you provided, such as algorithmic assessment scores or internal classifications. When you exercise your right to data portability, EasyJobHunt will provide your personal information in a format that is structured, commonly used, and machine-readable, enabling the information to be efficiently reused by you or transmitted to another controller. For most users, this typically involves the provision of data in formats such as JSON, XML, or CSV, depending on the nature of the information and technical considerations.
The portable data set will include, at minimum, the following categories of information to the extent that EasyJobHunt has collected and retained them: account and profile information, including contact details, professional summary, and preferences; resume content, including work history, education, skills, certifications, and other professional qualifications; job application history, including positions applied for, application dates, and submitted materials; saved jobs, search parameters, and job alerts; and messages and communications within the Platform (excluding communications where providing them would adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others).
To facilitate seamless data transfers between platforms, EasyJobHunt has developed direct data transmission capabilities with certain major employment platforms and applicant tracking systems. Where such direct transmission channels exist and when you specifically request this service, EasyJobHunt will transmit your portable data directly to the recipient platform, provided that it is technically feasible and secure to do so.
When direct transmission is not available, we will provide clear instructions for transferring the exported data to the destination service. EasyJobHunt implements appropriate authentication and security measures before fulfilling portability requests to ensure that personal information is not inadvertently disclosed to unauthorized recipients. These measures are proportionate to the sensitivity of the data and may include verification of identity through existing account authentication methods, verification codes sent to registered contact information, or other secure verification methods.
While we strive to process data portability requests promptly, usually within 30 calendar days, complex requests involving large volumes of data or requiring technical development for compatibility with uncommon formats may require additional processing time, in which case you will be notified of the extended timeframe and the reasons for the delay.
The exercise of your right to data portability does not automatically trigger deletion of your information from EasyJobHunt systems. If you wish to have your data deleted following a portability request, you should separately exercise your right to deletion as described in the relevant section of this document.
In circumstances where a data portability request involves information pertaining to multiple individuals (such as shared communications), EasyJobHunt will endeavor to fulfill the request without adversely affecting the privacy rights of other individuals, potentially by redacting third-party information or obtaining consent from affected parties when feasible and appropriate.
9. Right to Withdraw Consent
Users of the EasyJobHunt Platform maintain the right to withdraw any consent previously given for the processing of their personal information, at any time and with the same ease with which it was originally provided. This fundamental right ensures that when processing is based on your consent, you retain control over your personal information and can revoke permission for its use when your preferences change or when you no longer wish to participate in certain data processing activities.
EasyJobHunt respects this right and has implemented comprehensive mechanisms to facilitate the straightforward withdrawal of consent across all relevant processing activities. When you withdraw consent, EasyJobHunt will cease the processing of your personal information for the purposes covered by the withdrawn consent without undue delay, typically within 15 calendar days of receiving your request, though technical constraints may occasionally require additional time for full implementation across all systems. It is important to understand that the withdrawal of consent is forward-looking and does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on your consent before its withdrawal.
Past processing activities conducted while your consent was valid remain legally justified, though the withdrawal prevents future processing for the specified purposes. To facilitate the exercise of this right, EasyJobHunt provides multiple accessible channels for withdrawing consent, proportionate to the methods through which consent was originally obtained.
These channels include: preference centers within your account settings that allow granular control over specific processing activities; unsubscribe mechanisms in all marketing communications, including clear, direct links that immediately opt you out of further communications without requiring additional steps; a comprehensive Privacy Rights portal that allows you to review all current consents and withdraw them selectively or comprehensively; and direct requests to our Privacy Team, who can assist with complex consent withdrawal scenarios or provide confirmation of implementation.
For processing activities that rely solely on consent and provide no alternative legal basis for continued processing, the withdrawal of consent will effectively terminate the processing activity entirely. However, certain aspects of our Platform require some level of personal information processing to function properly. In these cases, withdrawing consent may limit or prevent your ability to use specific features or services that depend on the processing in question. When such functional limitations would result from consent withdrawal, EasyJobHunt clearly explains these consequences before you complete the withdrawal process, ensuring your decision is fully informed.
In situations where multiple legal bases may apply to a particular processing activity—for instance, when processing is justified by both consent and legitimate interests—the withdrawal of consent may not completely terminate the processing if another valid legal basis applies. In such cases, EasyJobHunt will clearly communicate which aspects of processing will continue under alternative legal bases and which will cease as a result of the consent withdrawal.
EasyJobHunt maintains detailed records of all consent withdrawals, including the date and time of withdrawal, the specific processing activities affected, the methods used to implement the withdrawal across relevant systems, and any communications provided to the user regarding the withdrawal.
These records are maintained separately from the personal information itself to provide an independent audit trail of compliance with consent management obligations and to demonstrate respect for user autonomy regarding personal information processing.
10. Rights Related to Automated Decision-Making
Users of the EasyJobHunt Platform possess specific rights regarding automated decision-making processes, including profiling, that may be employed on our Platform. These rights are particularly relevant given the increasing use of algorithmic systems in employment contexts, such as resume screening, candidate matching, and preliminary qualifications assessment.
EasyJobHunt recognizes the potential impact of such technologies on individual opportunities and has implemented robust protections aligned with global privacy regulations. You have the right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you, unless such processing meets one of the following conditions: the automated decision is necessary for entering into or performing a contract between you and EasyJobHunt or an employer using our Platform; the processing is authorized by applicable law which also establishes suitable safeguards for your rights and legitimate interests; or you have given explicit consent to the automated decision-making process after being provided with meaningful information about the logic involved.
When automated decision-making is employed on our Platform, whether by EasyJobHunt’s own systems or through tools provided to employers, we are committed to transparency regarding these processes. This includes providing clear, understandable information about: the fact that automated decision-making is being used; the types of data being processed; the logic involved in the automated system and how it reaches its conclusions; the significance and potential consequences of the processing for you as a job seeker; and the measures implemented to protect your rights and legitimate interests.
For job seekers who may be subject to automated assessments or screening on our Platform, you have the right to request human intervention in the decision-making process, to express your point of view, and to contest any decision resulting from solely automated processing. When you exercise this right, EasyJobHunt will ensure that a qualified human reviewer evaluates your specific situation, considering additional information you provide and any limitations or potential errors in the automated system’s assessment.
This human review is conducted by individuals with appropriate authority to amend or override the automated decision based on their comprehensive evaluation. To facilitate meaningful human intervention, EasyJobHunt has established specialized processes for handling automated decision-making challenges, including: a dedicated review pathway for contested automated decisions; training for human reviewers on the capabilities and limitations of our automated systems; standardized procedures for incorporating additional information provided by users; and documentation requirements for human reviewers to record their reasoning and the factors considered in their determination.
EasyJobHunt implements additional safeguards for automated decision-making involving sensitive personal information or protected characteristics, including more rigorous testing for potential bias or discrimination, regular algorithmic impact assessments, and enhanced options for opting out of automated processing where feasible without undermining core Platform functionality. These safeguards are designed to mitigate the risk that automated systems could perpetuate or amplify existing biases in the employment market. When designing and deploying automated decision-making systems,
EasyJobHunt follows privacy by design principles, incorporating fairness considerations throughout the development process and implementing technical measures to prevent discriminatory outcomes. This includes regular testing and validation of algorithms using diverse datasets, ongoing monitoring for unexpected patterns or disparate impacts, and periodic audits by qualified internal or external specialists.
Users may request specific information about automated processing of their personal information, including meaningful information about the logic involved and the significance and envisaged consequences of such processing for them. Such requests can be submitted through our Privacy Rights portal or by contacting our Privacy Team directly, and EasyJobHunt will respond with appropriate technical and operational details while respecting intellectual property rights and trade secrets associated with proprietary algorithms.
11. Right to Non-Discrimination
All users of the EasyJobHunt Platform have the right to exercise their privacy rights without fear of discrimination, penalty, or retaliation. This fundamental right ensures that you can make choices about the processing of your personal information without suffering negative consequences for those choices. EasyJobHunt is firmly committed to honoring this right and has established comprehensive policies and technical safeguards to prevent discriminatory practices in response to the exercise of privacy rights.
Under this right, EasyJobHunt will not take any of the following actions in response to your exercise of privacy rights: deny goods or services to which you would otherwise be entitled; charge different prices or rates for services, including through the use of discounts, penalties, or other price variations; provide a different level or quality of services or features; suggest that you may receive a different price, rate, level, or quality of services if you exercise your rights; or subject you to any other form of detriment, disadvantage, or punitive measure.
This non-discrimination commitment applies regardless of which privacy right you exercise, whether it involves accessing your data, requesting deletion, opting out of certain processing activities, or any other right described in this document. The right to non-discrimination extends to all users, regardless of account type, subscription level, usage patterns, or other factors. We maintain this commitment even when the exercise of privacy rights may increase operational costs or create technical challenges for our Platform.
In accordance with applicable privacy regulations, EasyJobHunt may offer financial incentives, premium features, or enhanced services in exchange for the additional use of personal information, provided that such programs are voluntary, clearly disclosed, and represent a genuine added value that is reasonably related to the value of the additional data provided. Participation in such programs is always optional, and the terms must be clearly explained prior to enrollment.
You maintain the right to withdraw from such programs at any time without adverse consequences to your ability to use the core Platform services. To ensure compliance with the non-discrimination principle, EasyJobHunt has implemented several procedural and technical safeguards, including: separation between privacy rights management systems and service delivery systems to prevent service-affecting decisions based on privacy choices; training for customer service and technical support personnel regarding non-discrimination requirements; regular audits of user experiences following privacy rights requests to identify any potential disparate treatment; and executive-level oversight of policies and practices related to privacy rights to ensure organizational alignment with non-discrimination principles.
If you believe that you have experienced discrimination or adverse treatment as a result of exercising your privacy rights, we encourage you to report this concern promptly to our Privacy Team at privacy@easyjobhunt.com. All such reports will be investigated thoroughly, and appropriate remedial action will be taken to address any confirmed instances of discrimination.
Additionally, in many jurisdictions, discriminatory treatment in response to the exercise of privacy rights may constitute a violation of applicable privacy laws, potentially subjecting the violating organization to regulatory enforcement, penalties, or litigation.
EasyJobHunt is committed to full compliance with these legal requirements and to fostering a culture of respect for privacy choices throughout our organization.
12. Right to Be Informed of Third-Party Sharing
Users of the EasyJobHunt Platform have the right to be informed about third-party sharing of their personal information, including clear identification of the categories of recipients, the purposes for such sharing, and the nature of the information shared. This transparency is essential for informed decision-making about your privacy and facilitates your ability to exercise other privacy rights with respect to information that has been shared beyond our immediate control.
EasyJobHunt is committed to providing comprehensive, accurate, and accessible information regarding our data sharing practices through multiple notification channels. Our Privacy Policy serves as the primary disclosure mechanism for our general data sharing practices, detailing the categories of third parties with whom we routinely share personal information, the business purposes for such sharing, and the types of information involved in these transfers. This document is regularly updated to reflect current practices and is readily accessible through prominent links on our website.
Beyond these general disclosures, EasyJobHunt provides specific notifications regarding significant data sharing events at relevant points in the user experience. For instance, when you apply for a position through our Platform, we clearly indicate that your application materials and related personal information will be shared with the employer to whom you are applying. Similarly, when you create a searchable profile, we explain which elements of your profile will be visible to potential employers and provide granular privacy controls to limit this visibility according to your preferences.
For users in jurisdictions with specific third-party sharing disclosure requirements, such as California residents under the CCPA/CPRA, EasyJobHunt complies with all applicable requirements to provide detailed information about personal information disclosed for business purposes during the preceding 12 months. This includes the categories of personal information disclosed, the categories of third parties to whom information was disclosed, and the business or commercial purposes for such disclosures.
Under specific privacy regulations, you may have the right to request a more detailed accounting of particular disclosures of your personal information. When permitted by applicable law, such requests may be limited to a specific lookback period (typically 12 months) and may exclude certain categories of disclosures, such as those made pursuant to legal requirements or with your express authorization.
When EasyJobHunt engages in practices that might be characterized as “selling” or “sharing” personal information under various privacy laws (such as allowing third parties to collect data through cookies for advertising purposes), we provide clear notice of these practices and straightforward mechanisms to opt out of such sharing.
These opt-out mechanisms are prominently displayed and readily accessible, typically through a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the website footer and in relevant privacy settings. If a data breach occurs that involves your personal information, EasyJobHunt will provide timely notification in accordance with applicable breach notification laws.
Such notifications typically include information about the breach incident, the categories of information affected, potential risks resulting from the breach, steps we are taking to investigate and mitigate the breach, and recommendations for protective measures you may take. The timing and content of these notifications comply with the specific requirements of applicable jurisdictions.
EasyJobHunt maintains comprehensive records of all data sharing activities, including the dates of transfers, categories of information shared, recipients, purposes, and legal bases for the sharing. These records enable us to respond accurately to inquiries regarding third-party sharing and to fulfill our accountability obligations under various privacy frameworks.
Through these robust notification practices, EasyJobHunt ensures that you remain informed about how your personal information is shared with third parties, empowering you to make informed decisions about your privacy and to exercise control over your data throughout its lifecycle, even beyond our immediate systems.
13. Rights Specific to California Residents
California residents who use the EasyJobHunt Platform are entitled to specific privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). These rights exist in addition to the general privacy rights described elsewhere in this document and provide enhanced protections specifically applicable to residents of the State of California.
As a California resident, you have the right to know and request disclosure of specific information regarding our collection and use of your personal information over the prior 12 months, including: the categories of personal information we have collected about you; the categories of sources from which your personal information was collected; the business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling, or sharing your personal information; the categories of third parties with whom we share, sell, or disclose your personal information; and the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
You also possess the right to delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions permitted under California law. These exceptions include scenarios where retaining information is necessary to complete transactions, comply with legal obligations, detect security incidents, identify and repair errors, engage in public interest research, or use the information internally in ways reasonably aligned with your expectations.
California residents have the right to opt-out of the “sale” or “sharing” of their personal information. Under the CCPA/CPRA, “sale” broadly includes disclosing or making available personal information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration, while “sharing” refers specifically to disclosing information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes. To facilitate the exercise of this right, EasyJobHunt maintains a clear and conspicuous “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link on our homepage and in our Privacy Policy.
Additionally, California residents have the right to limit the use and disclosure of their sensitive personal information, defined to include government identifiers, financial account information, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, and the contents of certain types of communications, among other categories.
EasyJobHunt only processes sensitive personal information for purposes permitted under the CPRA without requiring a right to limit, such as performing services reasonably expected by an average consumer. However, should our practices change, we will implement appropriate mechanisms for you to limit uses of sensitive personal information. Under California law, you also have the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights, as detailed elsewhere in this document.
This means that EasyJobHunt will not deny services, charge different prices, provide different quality services, or suggest different prices or service levels because you exercised your CCPA/CPRA rights. The CPRA provides California residents with the right to correct inaccurate personal information. Upon receiving a verifiable request,
EasyJobHunt will use commercially reasonable efforts to correct inaccurate personal information about you that we maintain in our records. Minor children (under 16 years of age) who are California residents may have additional rights regarding content they have posted on our Platform. In accordance with California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section 1798.83), California residents who have provided personal information to EasyJobHunt may request information about our disclosure of certain categories of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the preceding calendar year.
To make such a request, please contact us using the information provided in our Privacy Policy. California residents may exercise their privacy rights by submitting a request through our dedicated California Privacy Rights portal at www.easyjobhunt.com/california-privacy-rights or by contacting us using the methods specified in our Privacy Policy.
California residents may also designate an authorized agent to submit requests on their behalf, though we will require verification of the agent’s authority and your identity in accordance with applicable regulations.
14. Rights Specific to European Users
Users of the EasyJobHunt Platform who are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland enjoy specific privacy rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws applicable in these jurisdictions.
These rights are comprehensive and provide robust protections for your personal information, reflecting the European approach to data protection as a fundamental right. As a user located in these regions, you have several specific rights beyond those generally described elsewhere in this document. You have the right to receive information about the appropriate safeguards we implement when transferring your personal data to countries outside the EEA, UK, or Switzerland that have not received an adequacy decision from the European Commission or relevant authorities.
This information includes details about the transfer mechanisms we rely upon, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, and any supplementary measures implemented to ensure adequate protection of your information during and after transfer. European users have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, particularly in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work, or place of an alleged infringement of applicable data protection laws.
We provide contact information for relevant supervisory authorities upon request, though we always encourage users to contact us directly first to attempt resolution of any concerns. Under the GDPR, you have enhanced rights regarding automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.
EasyJobHunt implements these protections through human oversight of significant automated decisions, clear disclosure of when automated processing is used, and mechanisms for contesting such decisions and requesting human intervention. European data protection laws provide additional protections for children’s personal data, defining a child as anyone under the age of 16 (though some EU member states may lower this threshold to 13). When processing children’s personal data, we implement enhanced verification processes for parental consent and provide privacy notices in clear, age-appropriate language.
For processing based on consent, European users have the explicit right to withdraw consent at any time, with such withdrawal being as straightforward as giving consent initially. EasyJobHunt ensures all consent mechanisms are genuinely voluntary, specific, informed, and unambiguous, implementing designs that require clear affirmative action rather than pre-ticked boxes or implied consent mechanisms. European users have the right to data portability for personal data provided directly by you and processed based on consent or contract performance.
This right allows you to receive your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and to transmit this data to another controller without hindrance from EasyJobHunt. Under the “right to be forgotten” (erasure), European users have broader grounds for requesting deletion than users in some other jurisdictions, including when data is no longer necessary for the original purpose, when consent is withdrawn, or when you object to processing based on legitimate interests and no overriding legitimate grounds exist for continued processing.
European privacy laws provide the right to restriction of processing in specific circumstances beyond those generally described elsewhere, including when you contest the accuracy of your personal data (during the verification period) or when you have objected to processing based on legitimate interests (while the assessment of overriding interests is conducted). As a European user, you benefit from data protection by design and default principles that EasyJobHunt has embedded throughout our technical and organizational measures.
This includes data minimization practices, purpose limitation, storage limitation, and proactive security measures designed to protect your rights from the earliest stages of product development. To exercise any of these rights specific to European users, you may submit a request through our dedicated Data Subject Rights portal at www.easyjobhunt.com/gdpr-rights or by contacting our Data Protection Officer at dpo@easyjobhunt.com.
We respond to all legitimate requests within the timeframe required by applicable law, generally within one month, though we may extend this period when necessary due to the complexity or number of requests.
15. How to Exercise Your Privacy Rights
EasyJobHunt has established multiple convenient and accessible pathways for you to exercise your privacy rights, recognizing that different users may prefer different methods of interaction. We are committed to making the exercise of privacy rights as straightforward as possible while maintaining appropriate security to protect your information.
This section outlines the specific methods available for submitting privacy rights requests and the procedures that follow. The most direct way to exercise many of your privacy rights is through our dedicated Privacy Rights Portal, accessible at www.easyjobhunt.com/privacy-rights. This secure online interface allows you to submit requests for access, deletion, correction, opt-out, and other privacy rights in a structured format that facilitates prompt and accurate processing.
The Portal includes identity verification steps proportionate to the sensitivity of the request and provides a tracking mechanism to monitor the status of your request throughout the fulfillment process. For users who prefer email communication, privacy rights requests may be submitted directly to privacy@easyjobhunt.com. When submitting requests via email, please include “Privacy Rights Request” in the subject line, clearly specify which right(s) you wish to exercise (e.g., access, deletion, correction), and provide sufficient information to verify your identity and locate your records in our systems.
Our Privacy Team monitors this mailbox daily and will acknowledge receipt of your request within two business days. Users with active EasyJobHunt accounts can exercise certain privacy rights directly through account settings and preference controls, without the need for formal requests. These self-service options include: updating or correcting profile information; adjusting visibility settings and searchability preferences; managing communication preferences and opting out of marketing; downloading copies of uploaded materials such as resumes and cover letters; and deleting specific content items from your profile or account.
For jurisdictions with specific privacy rights frameworks, such as California or the European Economic Area, we maintain dedicated channels for region-specific privacy rights. These specialized request pathways ensure compliance with local requirements regarding verification, timeframes, and response formats while streamlining the process for users in these locations. Regardless of the submission method you choose, EasyJobHunt implements a consistent verification process to protect your privacy by ensuring that only you or your authorized representative can access or modify your personal information.
This verification is proportionate to the sensitivity of the information requested and the potential harm that could result from unauthorized access. For requests involving non-sensitive information from users with password-protected accounts, verification typically involves secure authentication to your existing account. For more sensitive requests or those from individuals without accounts, additional verification steps may be required, such as matching specific data points against information already maintained in our records or, in limited cases, submission of identity documentation through secure channels.
Once your request has been verified, EasyJobHunt will: acknowledge receipt of your request within 5 business days; provide an estimated timeframe for completion based on the nature and complexity of your request; process your request in accordance with applicable regulations and our internal procedures; deliver a comprehensive response that addresses all aspects of your request; and maintain records of your request and our response as required by applicable law and our retention policies.
If we are unable to fully comply with your request due to legal exceptions, technical limitations, or other valid constraints, we will provide a clear explanation of the specific reasons for the limitation and inform you of any alternative actions available to you, including the right to appeal our decision or lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority. EasyJobHunt does not charge fees for processing standard privacy rights requests.
However, where permitted by applicable law, we reserve the right to assess a reasonable administrative fee for requests that are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive, particularly where they impose disproportionate operational costs. If a fee may apply to your request, we will inform you in advance and provide an opportunity to modify or withdraw your request to avoid the fee.
16. Verifying Identity for Privacy Requests
To protect your privacy and security, EasyJobHunt implements proportionate verification procedures before fulfilling requests to access, modify, or delete personal information. These verification requirements are designed to confirm that the person making the request is either the individual about whom we have collected personal information or an authorized representative, thereby preventing unauthorized access that could compromise user privacy.
The specific verification methods employed by EasyJobHunt vary based on several risk-based factors, including the nature of the information requested, the type of request being made, your relationship with our Platform, and the potential harm that could result from unauthorized access. This risk-based approach ensures that verification requirements are robust enough to protect sensitive information without creating unnecessary barriers to the legitimate exercise of privacy rights.
For users with password-protected accounts on the EasyJobHunt Platform, our primary verification method requires you to authenticate to your account before submitting or confirming a privacy rights request. This authentication typically involves logging in with your username and password, plus any additional security measures you have enabled for your account, such as two-factor authentication.
Once authenticated, you can submit requests through your account settings or our Privacy Rights Portal, with the established session serving as verification of your identity. For requests involving particularly sensitive information or high-risk actions (such as complete
While we have provided specific contact information for various privacy-related needs, we continually review and update our contact mechanisms to ensure effective communication channels for data protection matters.
If you have difficulty reaching our team through any of the provided channels, please use our general contact form at www.easyjobhunt.com/contact, and your inquiry will be directed to the appropriate department.
For users with disabilities who may require assistance accessing this Privacy Policy or submitting privacy-related requests, please contact accessibility@easyjobhunt.com for accommodations, including provision of this Policy in alternative formats.
