2. Personal Information We Collect
EasyJobHunt collects various types of personal information to facilitate our services, improve user experience, and fulfill our contractual and legal obligations. The specific categories of personal information we collect depend on how you interact with our Platform and which services you use. For job seekers, we collect profile information that you voluntarily provide when creating and maintaining your account, including your name, email address, phone number, physical address, professional experience, educational background, skills, certifications, employment history, resume or CV, professional summary, salary expectations, job preferences, and portfolio samples.
We may also collect information that you choose to include in cover letters, assessment responses, or other application materials submitted through our Platform. For employers and recruiters, we collect business contact information, including name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, industry sector, company size, and hiring needs. We may also collect billing information, including payment card details or bank account information, to process subscription fees or other services, though this financial information is processed through secure third-party payment processors.
When you use our Platform, we automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device information, referring website, pages viewed, time spent on pages, links clicked, and other browsing behavior. This information is collected through cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies as further described in our Cookie Policy. We may collect information about your interactions with our Platform, including job searches, applications submitted, positions posted, candidates reviewed, messages exchanged through our internal messaging system, and preferences settings. If you choose to import your profile from third-party services such as LinkedIn, Google, or Facebook, we collect the information you authorize these services to share with us according to your privacy settings on those platforms.
We may collect information about you from publicly available sources, such as professional networking sites, social media platforms, news articles, and public records, to supplement the information you provide directly. If you participate in surveys, promotions, contests, or provide feedback about our Platform, we collect your responses, comments, and any personal information you include.
The collection of personal information is limited to what is necessary for the purposes identified in this Privacy Policy, and we employ data minimization principles to avoid collecting excessive information beyond what is needed for our legitimate business purposes.
3. Legal Bases for Processing Personal Data
EasyJobHunt processes personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws and relies on several legal bases to do so, depending on the nature of our relationship with you and the specific processing activities involved. For users located in regions where the GDPR or similar regulations apply, we process your personal information based on one or more of the following legal grounds.
When you enter into an agreement with EasyJobHunt, whether as a job seeker creating an account or as an employer purchasing recruitment services, we process your personal information as necessary to perform our contractual obligations to you. This includes managing your account, providing the services you’ve requested, facilitating job applications or candidate searches, processing payments, and communicating with you about your account or our services. In certain circumstances, we process your personal information based on your express consent, such as when you opt in to receive marketing communications, agree to have your profile visible to potential employers, or choose to share specific categories of personal information that are not strictly necessary for providing our services.
We provide clear notice when consent is the legal basis for processing, and you have the right to withdraw consent at any time. EasyJobHunt processes personal information when necessary to comply with legal obligations to which we are subject, including maintaining appropriate business records, complying with employment laws, responding to valid legal processes such as subpoenas or court orders, and fulfilling tax and financial reporting requirements.
We also process personal information based on our legitimate interests, provided these interests are not overridden by your fundamental rights and freedoms. Our legitimate interests include: improving and personalizing our Platform and services; ensuring the security and integrity of our Platform; preventing fraud and unauthorized activities; analyzing usage patterns to enhance user experience; developing new products and services; conducting business analytics and market research; enforcing our terms and policies; and protecting our legal rights and interests.
For certain special categories of personal information, such as demographic information that may reveal racial or ethnic origin, we process data only with your explicit consent, when necessary for employment-related purposes as authorized by law, or when necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. For data subjects in other jurisdictions, we process personal information in accordance with applicable local laws. We maintain records of our processing activities and regularly review the legal basis for each processing operation to ensure continued compliance with applicable regulations.
If we need to process your personal information for a purpose not covered by this Privacy Policy or the legal bases outlined above, we will provide you with notice and, if required by law, seek your consent for the new processing purpose.
4. How We Use Your Personal Information
EasyJobHunt uses the personal information we collect for specific, defined purposes that are essential to delivering our services, enhancing user experience, and operating our business effectively. The primary purposes for which we process your personal information include, but are not limited to, the following comprehensive uses.
We use your personal information to provide and manage the core functionalities of our Platform, including: creating and maintaining your user account; authenticating your identity when you log in; personalizing your experience based on your preferences, search history, and interactions; facilitating job applications and submissions to employers; enabling employers to post job opportunities and search for candidates; connecting job seekers with relevant employment opportunities; processing transactions and payments; and providing customer support and responding to inquiries.
Your personal information helps us deliver personalized experiences by powering our job matching algorithms that analyze your profile, skills, experience, and preferences to recommend relevant job opportunities to job seekers and qualified candidates to employers. These matching functions may involve automated processing, including profiling, to evaluate personal aspects related to your professional qualifications, interests, and suitability for particular positions.
We utilize personal information to communicate with you about account activities, service updates, and Platform features, including sending notifications about application status updates, interview requests, new messages from other users, relevant job recommendations, and essential service announcements. If you have provided consent, we may also send marketing communications about promotions, new features, or career resources that may be of interest to you.
We analyze user behavior, preferences, and interactions with our Platform to improve our services, develop new features, optimize user interfaces, and enhance overall user experience. This analysis helps us understand how users engage with different aspects of our Platform, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions about product development. Personal information is used to maintain the security and integrity of our Platform by detecting and preventing fraud, unauthorized access, identity theft, and other security incidents. We implement monitoring systems to identify suspicious activities, verify identities, and protect our users and services from potential security threats.
We process personal information to generate aggregated statistics and analytics about workforce trends, hiring patterns, salary information, and job market conditions. These analytics are used to produce industry reports, market insights, and benchmarking data, which may be shared in anonymized and aggregated form with third parties or the public. For employers and business users, we use personal information to provide recruitment analytics, applicant tracking functionality, and reporting tools that help organizations optimize their hiring processes and make informed decisions about talent acquisition strategies. Your personal information may be used to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes, including responding to lawful requests from governmental authorities, fulfilling tax reporting obligations, and establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims.
We may also use personal information to enforce our Terms of Service, investigate potential violations, and protect our legal rights and interests. For all processing activities, we adhere to data minimization principles, using only the personal information necessary to accomplish the specified purpose and retaining such information only for as long as needed for these legitimate business purposes or as required by law.
5. Information Sharing and Disclosure
EasyJobHunt shares your personal information with third parties only in specific circumstances and in accordance with applicable data protection laws. We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your information and limiting disclosure to situations where it is necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, or support our legitimate business interests. The following section outlines in detail how and when we share your personal information.
When job seekers submit applications through our Platform, we share the application materials and related personal information with the employers or recruiters to whom the application is directed. The specific information shared includes your resume, cover letter, professional experience, education history, skills, application responses, and contact information necessary for the employer to evaluate your candidacy and communicate with you about the position. When you create a public profile as a job seeker, certain elements of your profile information may be visible to employers and recruiters who use our Platform to identify potential candidates.
You can control the visibility of your profile and specific information through your privacy settings, including options to make your profile visible only when you apply to specific positions or to remain completely private. EasyJobHunt engages various service providers who perform functions on our behalf and require access to personal information to do so. These service providers include: cloud storage providers who securely host our data; payment processors who handle subscription fees and transactions; email service providers who facilitate our communications; analytics providers who help us understand user behavior; customer support services; fraud prevention and identity verification services; and IT service providers who maintain and secure our systems.
We establish contractual safeguards with all service providers to ensure they protect your personal information and use it only for the specific purposes for which it was disclosed. If EasyJobHunt engages in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy proceedings, your personal information may be transferred to another entity as part of the transaction. In such event, we will notify you before your personal information becomes subject to a different privacy policy and ensure that your rights are protected in accordance with applicable law.
We may disclose your personal information when required to do so by law, regulation, or legal process, such as in response to a court order, subpoena, or request from a law enforcement or governmental agency. We may also share information when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, enforce our Terms of Service, investigate potential violations, prevent fraud or security incidents, or ensure the safety of our users or the public. With your consent, we may share your information with third parties for purposes not described in this Privacy Policy.
We will obtain your explicit consent before sharing your personal information in these circumstances. In certain professional contexts, such as when employers use our applicant tracking system or integration features, your application materials and candidate information may be shared with the employer’s designated third-party service providers, such as background check services, assessment platforms, or HRIS systems. This sharing occurs only at the direction of the employer and is subject to the employer’s privacy practices. We may share aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you with third parties for research, marketing, analytics, and other purposes.
This information may include aggregated usage statistics, general demographic information, or de-identified application data that provides insights into hiring trends without revealing individual identities. EasyJobHunt does not sell your personal information to third parties for monetary consideration. However, depending on the interpretation of certain privacy laws, some sharing of information with our marketing and advertising partners may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under those laws.
You have the right to opt out of such sharing as described in the “Your Rights and Choices” section of this Policy.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
EasyJobHunt uses cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies to enhance your experience on our Platform, analyze usage patterns, deliver personalized content, and improve the overall functionality of our services. This section provides detailed information about how these technologies work and your options for controlling their use.
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit our website or use our services. They enable us to recognize your device and store certain information about your preferences or past actions. Web beacons (also known as clear gifs, pixel tags, or web bugs) are tiny graphics with a unique identifier that may be included on our Platform for several purposes, including to deliver or communicate with cookies, track and measure the performance of our Platform, monitor how many visitors view our pages, and understand the effectiveness of our marketing. We utilize various types of cookies and similar technologies on our Platform, including: Essential cookies, which are strictly necessary for the operation of our Platform, enabling core functionalities such as security, network management, and account authentication.
These cookies cannot be disabled as they are required for basic Platform operations; Functional cookies, which enhance your experience by remembering your preferences, language settings, and other choices to provide a more personalized experience; Analytics cookies, which collect information about how you use our Platform, helping us understand visitor behavior, identify popular features, detect usability problems, and improve overall performance; and Marketing and advertising cookies, which are used to deliver relevant advertisements, track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, and limit the number of times you see an advertisement.
The specific information collected through these technologies includes: your IP address and device information; browser type and settings; operating system; referring URLs; pages viewed and actions taken on our Platform; dates and times of visits; and information about how you interact with our advertisements. EasyJobHunt may partner with third-party providers to deliver content or advertisements on our Platform or to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. These third parties may use their own cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to collect information about your interactions with our Platform and other websites. Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings preferences. You can typically remove or reject cookies via your browser settings. However, please note that if you choose to disable cookies, some features of our Platform may not function properly or optimally.
To exercise more specific control over different types of cookies, EasyJobHunt provides a Cookie Preference Center accessible through the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of our website. Through this Center, you can selectively consent to or reject non-essential cookies while still allowing essential cookies necessary for Platform functionality. Additionally, many advertising networks offer you a way to opt out of targeted advertising. Information about opting out is available at http://www.aboutads.info/choices or http://www.youronlinechoices.eu/. Please note that EasyJobHunt is not responsible for the effectiveness of, or compliance with, any third parties’ opt-out options or programs.
Some browsers include “Do Not Track” (DNT) features that can send a signal to websites you visit indicating you do not wish to be tracked. Because there is not yet a common understanding of how to interpret the DNT signal, EasyJobHunt does not currently respond to DNT signals. However, you can use the range of other tools we provide to control data collection and use, including the ability to opt out of receiving targeted advertising from us as described above. We regularly review our Cookie Policy to ensure it remains current with our practices and applicable regulations. The most up-to-date information about our use of cookies and similar technologies is available in our separate Cookie Policy, accessible via a link in the footer of our website.
7. Data Security Measures
EasyJobHunt implements comprehensive technical, administrative, and physical security measures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. We take the security of your data seriously and employ industry-standard practices appropriate to the nature of the information and the processing activities involved. Our multi-layered security approach includes the following specific measures and safeguards. We utilize industry-standard encryption technologies to protect sensitive personal information during transmission across networks and at rest in our databases.
This includes Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption for data in transit and strong encryption algorithms for certain types of stored data, such as payment information and authentication credentials. We maintain strict access controls that limit employee and contractor access to personal information based on job responsibilities and the principle of least privilege. Access to user data requires proper authorization, is logged for auditing purposes, and is reviewed regularly. All personnel with access to personal information are bound by confidentiality obligations and receive training on data protection and security best practices. Our technical infrastructure incorporates multiple security layers, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, malware protection, vulnerability scanning, and regular security patches to protect against external threats and vulnerabilities.
We conduct periodic security assessments, including vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and code reviews, to identify and remediate potential security weaknesses in our systems and applications. These assessments are performed by both internal security teams and independent third-party security specialists. EasyJobHunt maintains formal incident response procedures to address any actual or suspected security breaches promptly. Our response protocol includes steps for containing the incident, evaluating its impact, notifying affected individuals and authorities when required by law, and implementing measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
We monitor our systems continuously for suspicious activities or unauthorized access attempts. Our monitoring capabilities include automated alerts for unusual patterns, log analysis, and 24/7 security operations oversight to detect and respond to potential security incidents quickly. For critical data, we maintain regular backup procedures to minimize the risk of data loss in the event of a system failure or security incident. These backups are encrypted and stored securely with strict access controls. We have implemented physical security measures at our facilities, including access controls, surveillance systems, and visitor management procedures to prevent unauthorized physical access to systems where personal information is stored.
We conduct regular security awareness training for all employees, covering topics such as password security, phishing recognition, secure data handling, and incident reporting procedures. This training is updated regularly to address emerging threats and is mandatory for all staff members. While we implement these and other appropriate security measures, it is important to note that no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Despite our best efforts and robust security measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Users should also take steps to protect their personal information, such as maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials, logging out of their account after use, particularly on shared devices, and promptly reporting any suspected unauthorized activity on their account to our support team.
EasyJobHunt regularly reviews and updates our security practices to address new threats and vulnerabilities as they emerge, and to incorporate improved security technologies and methodologies into our operations.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
EasyJobHunt maintains specific data retention policies designed to keep your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, comply with legal obligations, or protect our legitimate business interests. We recognize the importance of data minimization and implement practices to ensure that outdated or unnecessary data is appropriately disposed of in a secure manner. For active user accounts, we retain personal information for the duration of your relationship with EasyJobHunt and for a reasonable period thereafter based on legitimate operational needs, legal requirements, and industry standards.
This includes maintaining information necessary to provide our services, respond to inquiries about past activities, and comply with legal obligations such as tax, employment, and business record-keeping requirements. If you are a job seeker, your application data submitted to potential employers may be retained in accordance with applicable employment and record-keeping laws, which typically require retention for periods ranging from one to four years following the conclusion of the hiring process. Employers who receive your application materials through our Platform determine their own retention periods in accordance with their legal obligations and internal policies.
For employer accounts, we retain business contact information, transaction records, and related account data in accordance with business record-keeping practices and tax regulations, generally for seven years following the end of the fiscal year in which the last transaction occurred. Technical data, including log files and usage statistics, is typically retained for shorter periods, generally between 90 days and 18 months, after which it may be aggregated and anonymized for analytical purposes or deleted if no longer needed.
If your account becomes inactive (no logins or other activity) for an extended period, typically 24 months, we may flag it for potential archiving or deletion, subject to notification procedures where required by applicable law. Before proceeding with deletion of inactive accounts, we will typically attempt to contact you using the email address associated with your account. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting our Privacy Team at privacy@easyjobhunt.com or through the data subject request form available on our Platform.
Upon receiving a verified deletion request, we will process your request in accordance with applicable law, which typically includes: permanently deleting or de-identifying your personal information from our active systems within 30 days; ensuring that your data is removed from our backup systems according to our regular backup rotation schedule (typically within 90 days); and confirming completion of your deletion request.
Certain limited information may be retained even after account deletion if required by law or necessary for legitimate business purposes, such as: information needed to comply with legal retention requirements; aggregated, anonymized data that no longer identifies you; information necessary to protect against fraud or unauthorized access; or information needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. We maintain a detailed data inventory and retention schedule that is regularly reviewed and updated to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
This schedule specifies retention periods for different categories of data based on legal requirements, operational needs, and industry best practices. All deletion of personal information is carried out using secure deletion methods appropriate to the type of information and storage medium involved, ensuring that deleted data cannot be readily recovered or reconstructed.
9. Children’s Privacy
EasyJobHunt recognizes the importance of protecting children’s privacy and takes specific measures to ensure compliance with laws governing the online collection of information from children. Our Platform is designed for individuals who are at least 16 years of age, or the minimum age required to provide valid consent to data processing in the user’s jurisdiction of residence, whichever is higher. In the United States, our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 16.
In regions governed by the GDPR, we do not knowingly process personal information from individuals under the age of 16 without verifiable parental consent. EasyJobHunt does not knowingly collect personal information from children below these age thresholds. We implement reasonable measures to verify age appropriately, including age-gating mechanisms during the registration process that require users to confirm they meet the minimum age requirements. If these measures indicate a potential user is below the applicable age threshold, registration will not be permitted. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child below the applicable minimum age threshold, we will promptly delete such information and take reasonable measures to ensure the information is not used or disclosed.
We encourage parents and guardians to monitor their children’s online activities and to contact us if they believe we have unintentionally collected information from their child. Parents or guardians who believe that EasyJobHunt may have collected personal information from an individual under the applicable minimum age may submit a request to privacy@easyjobhunt.com to review, delete, or stop the collection of their child’s personal information. Upon receiving such a request, we will take steps to verify the identity of the parent or guardian and their relationship to the child before processing the request.
In jurisdictions with specific regulations governing children’s privacy (such as the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act in the United States), we comply with all applicable requirements regarding verifiable parental consent, parent/guardian rights to review and delete information, confidentiality and security of children’s data, and limitations on data retention. For educational or vocational programs specifically designed for younger users that may utilize our Platform, we establish additional contractual safeguards and processing limitations with the educational institutions or program administrators responsible for such users.
We recognize that in certain limited contexts, such as apprenticeship programs, internships, or entry-level positions for recent graduates, our Platform may be appropriately used by individuals who are nearing but have not reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction. In these specific situations, we implement additional safeguards appropriate to the age of the users and the nature of the services provided, consistent with applicable laws and regulations.
10. Your Rights and Choices
EasyJobHunt respects your rights regarding your personal information and is committed to providing you with reasonable control over the personal information we collect. The specific rights available to you may vary depending on your geographical location and the data protection laws that apply in your jurisdiction. This section details the rights available to you and how to exercise them.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions where the GDPR or similar regulations apply, you have the following specific rights regarding your personal information: the right to access your personal data and receive confirmation of whether we process your personal data, as well as information about the processing activities and a copy of the personal data itself; the right to rectification, allowing you to correct inaccurate personal data or complete incomplete data; the right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”), enabling you to request deletion of your personal data under certain conditions, such as when the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected; the right to restrict processing, limiting how we use your data while its accuracy, legality, or our legitimate interests are being evaluated; the right to data portability, permitting you to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and to transmit that data to another controller under certain circumstances; the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, direct marketing, or research purposes; and the right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
For California residents, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) provides specific rights, including: the right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold; the right to access specific pieces of personal information collected about you during the previous 12 months; the right to request deletion of personal information (with some exceptions); the right to opt-out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes; the right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information; and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.
Residents of other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and Virginia) have similar rights to access, delete, correct, and opt out of certain processing of their personal information. All users, regardless of location, can exercise the following controls through our Platform: Account Settings: You can review and update your account information, including contact details, professional information, and communication preferences, through your account settings page; Privacy Controls: You can adjust visibility settings for your profile, determining which information is visible to employers or recruiters; Communication Preferences: You can manage your email subscription preferences and opt out of marketing communications by using the “unsubscribe” link in our emails or adjusting preferences in your account settings; and Job Application Controls: You can withdraw job applications submitted through our Platform where the application process allows, though we cannot control employer retention of already-submitted applications.
To exercise any of these rights, you may submit a request through our dedicated Data Subject Rights portal at www.easyjobhunt.com/privacy-rights, by emailing privacy@easyjobhunt.com, or by contacting us using the information provided in the “Contact Information” section of this Policy. For access and deletion requests, we will verify your identity to protect against unauthorized access to your information.
This verification process may require you to provide identifying information that matches our records. We will respond to all legitimate requests within the timeframes required by applicable law (generally within 30-45 days, depending on jurisdiction). In certain circumstances, we may extend this period when necessary, taking into account the complexity and number of requests. We do not charge a fee for handling standard requests, though we reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee or refuse to act when requests are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive.
If you believe we have processed your personal information in violation of applicable data protection laws, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority in your jurisdiction of residence.
11. International Data Transfers
EasyJobHunt operates globally and may transfer your personal information across international borders to facilitate our operations and provide our services to users worldwide. We recognize that many jurisdictions have enacted specific requirements governing the transfer of personal data outside their territories, and we are committed to conducting such transfers in compliance with applicable regulations.
When transferring personal information from the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, Switzerland, or other jurisdictions with cross-border transfer restrictions to countries that have not been deemed to provide an adequate level of data protection by relevant authorities, we implement appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law. These safeguards primarily include entering into Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission or the UK government with recipients of the data. These contractual protections require the recipient to protect the personal information they process in accordance with applicable data protection standards.
In some cases, we may rely on derogations provided in applicable data protection laws for specific transfer situations, such as when the transfer is necessary for the performance of a contract between you and EasyJobHunt, or when you have explicitly consented to the proposed transfer after being informed of the potential risks. For transfers to the United States and other countries that have not received adequacy decisions, we assess whether recipients can provide protection consistent with GDPR requirements in light of relevant legal decisions, including the Schrems II decision from the Court of Justice of the European Union, implementing supplementary measures where necessary.
These supplementary measures may include additional contractual commitments, technical safeguards such as encryption and access controls, and organizational measures to protect the transferred data. We maintain a comprehensive inventory of international data transfers, including documentation of the transfer mechanism relied upon, the categories of data transferred, the recipients, and the purpose of the transfer. This inventory is regularly reviewed and updated to ensure continued compliance with evolving regulatory requirements. For data originating from jurisdictions with cross-border transfer restrictions outside the EEA, such as Brazil under the LGPD or China under the PIPL, we implement comparable safeguards tailored to the specific requirements of those regulations.
As part of our vendor management process, we conduct due diligence on service providers who may access personal information from outside the jurisdiction of collection, ensuring they maintain appropriate data protection measures consistent with our standards and applicable regulations.
EasyJobHunt remains committed to ensuring that all international transfers of personal information are conducted in a manner that provides appropriate protection and complies with applicable legal requirements, regardless of the destination country or transfer mechanism employed. We regularly monitor changes in international data protection laws and adjust our data transfer mechanisms accordingly to maintain continuous compliance.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
EasyJobHunt reserves the right to modify, update, or amend this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, legal requirements, or other factors. We recognize the importance of transparency regarding such changes and are committed to informing users when material modifications occur.
When we make significant changes to this Privacy Policy that affect the ways in which we process personal information or your rights regarding your data, we will provide clear notice through appropriate channels, which may include prominent notices on our website or mobile applications, direct email communications to registered users, or other effective means of notification. Material changes to this Policy will generally be communicated at least thirty (30) days before the changes take effect, unless immediate implementation is required for legal compliance reasons or to address an urgent security concern.
The notification will summarize the key changes and explain their implications for users’ privacy rights and choices. Each updated version of this Privacy Policy will include an effective date at the beginning of the document, and we maintain an archive of previous versions that can be made available upon request to allow users to understand how our practices have evolved over time. We encourage users to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed about our data processing practices.
For minor changes that do not materially affect your rights or our data processing activities, we may update the Policy without providing specific notice, though the updated version will always be accessible through our website with the current effective date clearly indicated. When legally required, we will obtain renewed consent from users for new or substantially different processing activities not covered by the original consent.
Users should be aware that continued use of our Platform after the effective date of Privacy Policy changes constitutes acceptance of the amended terms, provided that such continued use constitutes legally valid acceptance under applicable law.
If you do not agree with the modified Privacy Policy, you may need to discontinue using our services and deactivate your account. Questions or concerns about changes to this Privacy Policy may be directed to our Privacy Team using the contact information provided in this Policy. Through this change management process, we balance the need to evolve our practices with the importance of keeping users informed and in control of how their personal information is processed.
13. California Privacy Rights
California residents are entitled to specific privacy rights under California law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). This section provides additional information required by California law and explains how California residents can exercise their rights.
As a California resident, you have the right to request that EasyJobHunt disclose certain information to you about our collection and use of your personal information over the past 12 months, including: the categories of personal information we have collected about you; the categories of sources from which the personal information is collected; the business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling, or sharing personal information; the categories of third parties with whom we share personal information; and the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
You also have the right to request deletion of your personal information that we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law, such as when retention is necessary to complete transactions, detect security incidents, comply with legal obligations, or use the information internally in ways reasonably aligned with your expectations. California residents have the right to opt-out of the “sale” or “sharing” of their personal information.
While EasyJobHunt does not sell personal information for monetary consideration, certain sharing of personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under California law. To exercise your right to opt-out of such sharing, you may use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link available on our website footer or submit a request using the contact information provided below. The CPRA provides California residents with the right to limit the use and disclosure of their sensitive personal information, such as precise geolocation, race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, or the contents of private communications.
EasyJobHunt only processes sensitive personal information for purposes permitted under the CPRA without requiring a right to limit, such as performing services reasonably expected by the average consumer. However, if you wish to limit the use of any sensitive personal information beyond these permitted purposes, you may submit a request using the contact methods described in this Policy.
California law prohibits discrimination against individuals for exercising their privacy rights. EasyJobHunt will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights by denying services, charging different prices or rates for services, providing a different level or quality of services, or suggesting that you will receive a different price or rate or level of quality.
However, we may offer financial incentives for the collection, sale, or retention of personal information, provided these incentives are reasonably related to the value of your data. If you are a California resident and would like to exercise your rights under the CCPA/CPRA, you may submit a verifiable consumer request through our website at www.easyjobhunt.com/california-privacy-rights, by emailing california-privacy@easyjobhunt.com, or by calling our toll-free number at [1(800)… ….].
You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf by providing written permission and verifying your identity, or through proof of power of attorney. We will respond to verifiable requests within the timeframes required by law, generally 45 calendar days, though we may extend this period by an additional 45 days when reasonably necessary with appropriate notice. We are required to verify your identity before responding to your request, which may include matching data points provided in your request with information we maintain about you.
The level of verification required will depend on the sensitivity of the information requested and the potential harm of unauthorized disclosure. California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section 1798.83) also permits California residents to request certain information regarding disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please contact us using the information provided in the “Contact Information” section of this Policy.
14. Job Applicants and Employment Candidates
This section provides additional information specifically relevant to individuals who apply for employment directly with EasyJobHunt, as distinct from job seekers using our Platform to find opportunities with other employers.
If you apply for a position with EasyJobHunt, we collect and process your personal information for employment-related purposes, and this processing is subject to specific provisions under applicable data protection laws. When you apply for employment at EasyJobHunt, we collect various types of personal information necessary to evaluate your application and manage the recruitment process.
This typically includes: identification and contact details, such as your name, address, email address, and phone number; professional qualifications, including your employment history, educational background, certifications, and skills; information contained in your resume, cover letter, and other application materials you submit; references and information received from previous employers, educational institutions, and other sources you authorize us to contact; information collected during interviews, whether conducted in person, by telephone, or through video conferencing; results of assessments or tests administered as part of the application process; background check information, where permitted by law and with your consent, which may include verification of education and employment history, criminal records checks, or other screening appropriate for the position; and immigration status and work authorization information to verify eligibility for employment.
We process this personal information based on specific legal bases applicable to the employment context, including: steps necessary prior to entering into an employment contract with you; our legitimate interests in evaluating your qualifications and suitability for employment; compliance with legal obligations related to the hiring process; and your consent, where we specifically request it for certain processing activities.
Your personal information is used solely for purposes directly connected to the recruitment process, including: evaluating your qualifications, skills, and suitability for employment; communicating with you about the status of your application and arranging interviews; conducting reference and background checks in accordance with applicable law; maintaining records of our hiring process; improving our recruitment practices and procedures; and complying with applicable employment laws and regulations.
We share candidate information only with authorized EasyJobHunt personnel involved in the hiring process, such as recruiters, hiring managers, and HR team members. We may also share your information with trusted service providers who assist with recruitment functions, such as applicant tracking systems, assessment providers, and background check services, all of whom are contractually obligated to protect your information.
We retain job applicant information for a limited period following the conclusion of the recruitment process, typically one year or as required by applicable employment laws, after which the information is securely deleted or anonymized. If you are hired, relevant application information will be transferred to your employee file. As a job applicant, you maintain specific rights regarding your personal information, including rights to access, correct, or delete your data in accordance with applicable law. To exercise these rights or for other questions about how we process job applicant information, please contact our HR department at hr@easyjobhunt.com.
EasyJobHunt is committed to ensuring that our employment application process complies with applicable equal opportunity laws and does not discriminate on the basis of protected characteristics. We collect diversity monitoring information only on a voluntary basis, store it separately from application materials, and use it solely for equal opportunity monitoring and reporting purposes in accordance with applicable law.
15. Platform Users Outside the United States
EasyJobHunt is headquartered in the United States and operates its Platform in accordance with U.S. laws and regulations. If you access or use our Platform from locations outside the United States, you should understand that your personal information will be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States and other countries where our servers and service providers are located.
These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country of residence. By using our Platform, you consent to the transfer of your personal information to the United States and other countries where EasyJobHunt operates, and to the processing and storage of that information in those countries. For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, Switzerland, or other jurisdictions with data protection laws that restrict international data transfers, we implement appropriate safeguards as described in the “International Data Transfers” section of this Policy.
These safeguards typically include Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or UK authorities, supplemented by additional measures where necessary to ensure an adequate level of protection for your personal information. Users in the EEA, UK, and other jurisdictions with comprehensive data protection laws may have specific rights regarding their personal information, as detailed in the “Your Rights and Choices” section of this Policy.
These rights generally include the ability to access, correct, and delete your personal information, as well as to object to certain processing activities or request restriction of processing. To exercise these rights, please use the contact methods described in this Policy. For users in certain jurisdictions, local laws may require the designation of a local representative or data protection officer. If applicable, contact information for these representatives is provided in the “Contact Information” section of this Policy.
Some jurisdictions outside the United States have established specific requirements regarding consent for the collection and processing of personal information. Where such requirements apply, we obtain any necessary consents in accordance with local law, which may include explicit consent for certain processing activities or specific information categories. Where we rely on consent as the legal basis for processing your information, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
We are committed to complying with applicable data protection laws in all jurisdictions where we operate and where our users are located. However, due to the global nature of our Platform and the variations in local laws, there may be instances where strict compliance with every legal requirement in every jurisdiction is not practicable. In such cases, we work to implement measures that provide meaningful privacy protections while enabling the essential functions of our Platform.
If you have questions or concerns about how your personal information is processed based on the laws of your specific jurisdiction, please contact our Privacy Team for more detailed information about our compliance measures in your location.
